Using QuickAreas is pretty simple. First, the user must indicate the drawing units and the polygon units. Next, the user has to select the text height. If this is not selected, the program will insert texts with a height of 2 units. The final step is to click on the "Insert Texts" button and select the polylines whose areas are desired to be retrieved. The program will convert the areas from the drawing units to the polygon units and will insert a field text at the centroid of each polyline with the corresponding area value. 

The app allows the user to automatically enumerate the polygons whose areas will be retrieved. In the main interface, the user must check the "Enumerate Polygons" option and indicate the starting number. The program will enumerate the polygons based on the order of selection. If all the polylines are selected at the same time, the program will enumerate them based on the order of creation.

The field texts of the areas can be automatically updated by entering the command regen into the command line. For instance, if the user updates the polyline geometry then the field text will also be updated with a regen. To activate this update mode the user must set the variable Fieldeval equal to 16. 

To export the list of areas to Microsoft Excel, the user must check the "Export to Excel" option before clicking the "Insert Texts" button. After selecting the polylines, the program will ask the user to indicate the folder where the Excel file will be saved.

The QuickAreas app can be installed by running the QuickAreas.msi file and following the instructions in the wizard. This will install the program in the following location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins.

To uninstall the program, execute the same QuickAreas.msi file and follow the instructions.
