The Point of interest app comes with an assortment of blocks you can use or delete. If you want to use your own blocks and Block alias, you can add a category on the settings palette and then add the blocks on the blocks palette using this category. You can choose your own Block alias. This alias is used in this app only.

When this is set-up you use the import points palette to import points. You can either click in the drawing where you want it or import a shape or file. I make these shape files with the online application streetsmart from cyclomedia. In their settings, you have the option to add a field so you can specify which block to use. After importing the points you can edit them on the points palette.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
