Instructions for Adding Matrak BIM Viewer to an Autodesk Construction Cloud® Account:

Autodesk® BIM 360® Admins can find the Matrak BIM Viewer BIM 360 Integration in Account Administration under the "Apps" tab. Select to add to your BIM 360 Account. Your Matrak BIM Viewer Integration is now active in BIM 360.  

Create a Matrak account

For new users, create an account at https://app.matrak.com/. You will gain access to a free "Example Project", or you can create one from scratch. 

Quick Start

1. Sign in using your Matrak account at https://bim.matrak.com/, before connecting Autodesk BIM 360 Account.
2. Choose your Matrak project in the top right corner.
3. Choose a model from your Autodesk BIM 360 Account on the left navigation. 

Configure your Matrak project for the Matrak BIM Viewer

In order to view Matrak data in your BIM model, you will need to export materials from your model and import them into your Matrak project.

1. Users can use the ‘Model Browser’ tool to filter materials that they want to export
2. Press the 'Matrak Export' button to download an Excel file containing the Matrak ID, BIM ID, and all properties from the model
3. Import this file into Matrak using these instructions 

General Usage

Once you've successfully connected your Matrak project with your BIM model, you can use the Matrak BIM Viewer to:

• Color code materials using the 'Matrak Legend' button
• Display customizable fields from Matrak using the 'Matrak Properties' button
• Update the status of materials from the 'Matrak Properties' window

Model Data Considerations:

For configuring a new Matrak project:

• Matrak recommends adding an ID field to each of your model items that matches the IDs of corresponding project 2D drawings or the project Bill of Quantities. This will ensure the model data aligns with other data types on your new Matrak project.

For configuring an existing Matrak project:

• Matrak recommends ensuring there is an ID field added to each of your model items that matches the existing Matrak project's item "ID" field for each item. This will ensure updates are accurate across platforms.
