General Usage Instructions

Find the tools on the ribbon tab called Add-ins on a panel called Import/Export Surface Analysis and use them whenever you are working with Surfaces.

See each individual command description for specific instructions.

RTCL_IesaAbout

Lists information about the product.

RTCL_IesaUpdates

Lists available updates about the product.

RTCL_IesaSupport

Launches the Support palette for reaching out to support or training videos on specific tools.

RTCL_IesaSettings

Opens the settings dialog. Here most commands within the suite have settings held within this dialog.

RTCL_IesaHelp

Opens Help HTML File.

RTCL_IesaResetPalette

Resets the product Tool Palettes to default settings if it seems to not be displaying.

RTCL_IesaRibbon

Loads and unloads the Add-ins Ribbon.

RTCL_IesaToggleUpdateIdentifier

Toggles the Ribbon updated command data.

RTCL_IesaStandaloneHostId

Launches the Standalone Host ID utility.

RTCL_IesaNetworkBorrowLicense

Launches the Borrow License Utility for Network Licensing only.

RTCL_IesaNetworkLicenseWhoHas

Launches the Network License Usage Visualizer utility.

RTCL_IesaExportContourAnalysis

Exports selected surface's contour analysis properties to a ANL (text) file.

Exports selected surface's directional analysis properties to a ANL (text) file.

Exports selected surface's elevation analysis properties to a ANL (text) file.

RTCL_IesaImportContourAnalysis

Imports an ANL (text) file, previously exported, and applies a new contour analysis to a selected surface. During applying, tool is smart to identify if there are surface style issues and allows for picking a new surface style or modifying the current one, in order to properly view the analysis.

RTCL_IesaImportDirectionalAnalys

Imports an ANL (text) file, previously exported, and applies a new directional analysis to a selected surface. During applying, tool is smart to identify if there are surface style issues and allows for picking a new surface style or modifying the current one, in order to properly view the analysis.

RTCL_IesaImportElevationAnalysis

Imports an ANL (text) file, previously exported, and applies a new elevation analysis to a selected surface. During applying, tool is smart to identify if there are surface style issues and allows for picking a new surface style or modifying the current one, in order to properly view the analysis.

RTCL_IesaImportSlopeAnalysis

Imports an ANL (text) file, previously exported, and applies a new slope analysis to a selected surface. During applying, tool is smart to identify if there are surface style issues and allows for picking a new surface style or modifying the current one, in order to properly view the analysis.

Imports an ANL (text) file, previously exported, and applies a new slope arrow analysis to a selected surface. Imports an ANL (text) file, previously exported, and applies a new user contour analysis to a selected surface. During applying, tool is smart to identify if there are surface style issues and allows for picking a new surface style or modifying the current one, in order to properly view the analysis.

RTCL_IesaInvertAnalysisFile

Inverts the range order of an ANL (text) file, previously exported, and allows for saving a new analysis file.

Installation/Uninstallation

1. Download the MSI installer from the Autodesk App Store – it may have already started downloading after purchasing.

2. Close Autodesk® Civil 3D®.

3. Install the MSI installer downloaded in step 1. The application will install to the directory below – all contents will be held within a respective bundle folder.

     a. C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins

4. At this time, it is important to determine if you desire a network license installation or a standalone license installation. Please see the respective links below based on your determination of license type. Additionally, please read the up about Red Transit Consultants, LLC licensing on our website; link provided below.

5. Launch Civil 3D. Depending on which licensing option chosen, you may be prompted to select your license file. You should see a ribbon tab called Add-ins on a panel called Import/Export Surface Analysis containing all of the tools the app provides.

Additional Information

This product has been tested for Windows 64-bit systems.
