Find and Replace Name and Description
Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
1. In the 'Find What' text blank, enter a find string. Use the match case checkbox to find exact matches.
2. In the 'Replace With' text blank, enter a replacement string.
3. Under Object Types (Abbreviations) [Counts], Check/Uncheck the object types desired. These checkboxes will automatically check/enable themselves if the current drawing contains that object type. If an object type does not exist in the drawing, corresponding checkboxes will be disabled.
4. Under Modify Options, Check/Uncheck Name or Description for the Find/Replace. Click Find Matches; objects found with matching names/descriptions based on the selected options will appear in the left window and the Replace button will appear. Note that if nothing is entered in the 'Replace With' blank, then the Replace button will not appear. If needed, use the Clear Results button to restart the search.
5. In the left window, use control and shift keys to select the desired objects to be revised. Right-click in this window to Select All or Clear All. Note, that only selected objects will be revised.
6. Use the Replace button to replace the Find What string portion with the Replace With string in all of the selected objects' names/descriptions. Upon replacement the right window will appear with the replaced names/descriptions and the drawing objects' names will reflect these modifications. NOTE: Grading groups are not included for renaming as they are not exposed within the API at this time. Please note that these will need to be renamed manually.

Known Issues
1. Grading groups are not included for renaming as they are not exposed within the API at this time. Please note that these will need to be renamed manually.2. Renaming Corridor surfaces with the Civil3D default naming of "COR:" is not allowed due to specific characters not being allowed in Civil 3D Object Names, thus this app simply removes the ":" from the name. This does not cause any issues with surfaces, labels, etc. just a minor defect in the naming.
