Win64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
To perform an electromagnetic analysis, do the following:
1. Click on Study button in EMS ribbon to define a new study.
2. The new study property page shows up.
3. Select a study type from the list shown in the property page.
4. After defining a study, click the OK button in the study property page to close it.
5. A study tree is then created in EMS feature tree.
6. Apply material on different solids: to apply material, right-click on a solid in the Solids tree and under the study tree select “Apply material”; the material library browser shows up.
7. Select a material from the library - you can create your own material library by selecting “Create new library” from the list of libraries shown in the same material library browser.
8. Apply boundary conditions: to apply boundary condition right-click the Loads/Restraints folder and select a boundary condition. Boundary condition such as Fixed Voltage, Floating conductor, Normal flux, etc. can be created using the ribbon buttons.
9. Create Mesh: To create the mesh click on “Create mesh” button in the ribbon or right-click the Mesh icon under the study tree and select “Create mesh”.
10. The “Create mesh” property page shows up; the default mesh size is computed based on the length of the diagonal of a virtual bounding box that encapsulates each solid body in the model. Leave the default mesh size as is and click on OK to launch the meshing.
11. Launch the solver: To run the study, click on “Run” button in the ribbon or right-click the study name in the feature tree and click on “Run”.
12. After the solving is completed, 3D plots folders, Results table and Report folder will be shown in the study tree.
13. To view the results table, double-click on “Results Table” icon in the study tree.
14. To view a 3D plot, right-click on 3D plot folder and select “3D Plot”.
15. To generate a report, right-click Report folder and select “Define”.

Installation/Uninstallation
EMS will be installed to the folder Program Files\EMWorksEMS. To uninstall, go to Control Panel > Uninstall a Program; look for "EMS for Autodesk® Inventor®" in the program list and then click on Uninstall.
