- Download and install Logic Hydraulic Cylinder Basic Buckling Calculator add-In for Inventor.
- Run Inventor and open your hydraulic cylinder located in the Inventor assembly (.iam) file.
- There is a new toolbar tab named “LogicPs”.
- Click the “Basic Calculator” button. An interface titled “Hydraulic Cylinder Basic Buckling Calculator” will open.
- Select the connection and condition types of the hydraulic cylinder.
- Enter the pressure value for the hydraulic cylinder. The unit of pressure value is “bar”.
- You can either select or enter the values of rod diameter, bore diameter, and stroke for the cylinder. The unit for these parameters is the length unit currently selected in Inventor. (If your length units are set to foot and micron, the supported unit will be 'mm'.)
- Select the joints or enter the value of the joints distance.
- There are default values for yield strength and elastic modulus. To add a new value to the yield strength, press the 'plus' button and enter the new value. The units for yield strength and elastic modulus are 'MPa'.
- After entering the necessary parameters, click on the "Calculate" button within the add-in interface. The add-in will perform the calculation and display the buckling safety factor of the hydraulic cylinder.

Installation/Uninstallation
Install
The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.
Unload
You can unload the plugin without uninstalling it, by unchecking the "Loaded/Unloaded" check box associated with the plugin in the Inventor Add-In Manager. You may have to restart Inventor to completely unload the application.
Uninstall
To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, you can uninstall it from 'Control Panel/Programs and Features' (Windows 7/8.1/10/11), just as you would uninstall any other application from your system.
