Automesher LT
Win32 and 64, EnglishGeneral Usage Instructions
- Importing Mesh Files: Use the AMIMPORTMESHLT command to import your mesh files. Automesher LT supports many 3D file extensions, including STL (Stereolithography), OFF (Object File Format), OBJ (Alias Wavefront Object), and others.
- Changing Mesh Entity Type: The AMCONVERTMESHLT command allows you to change a mesh entity type. This can be particularly useful when converting 3D drawing entities like faces or polygon mesh into Polyface or subdivision mesh.
- Exporting 3D Drawing Entities: With the AMEXPORTMESHLT command, you can export your 3D drawing entities to an external file format. This includes 3DS (3D Studio), including STL (Stereolithography), PLY (Stanford Polygon Format), and others.
Please follow the step-by-step instructions below to start using Automesher LT in your AutoCAD:
- Execute the AMIMPORTMESHLT command and navigate to the "/AutomesherLT.bundle/Contents/Examples/" folder.
- Select rock.obj file and in the mesh reconstruction dialog select SubD mesh entity type, and then press enter.
- You should see a new object in your drawing with a textured material.
- Execute the AMCONVERTMESHLT command to convert your imported mesh into the PolyfaceMesh entity type.
- As expected the texture data are not available for the legacy polyface meshes.
- Execute the AMEXPORTMESHLT command to export your polyface mesh to another file format, e.g. 3DS.
