The program allows the user to manipulate all properties of the background mask for a selection of Multiline Text (MText) and Multileader (MLeader) objects.

 

Following the selection of multiple MText and/or MLeader objects, the program presents the user with a dialog interface through which the background mask may be enabled or disabled simultaneously for all objects in the selection. Furthermore, the offset, transparency and colour of the background mask applied to all objects in the selection may also be controlled.

    I just installed this app and it worked great in one drawing, but not in others. I'm not sure if there is another issue with CAD.

    As explained in my email response to you: my Background Mask application simply provides a way to enable/disable & manipulate the standard AutoCAD background mask property, therefore, the issues you are experiencing pertaining to the display order of the background mask relative to other objects are likely to be a result of the draw-order of the objects in your drawing. Please be aware that the draw-order of the background mask is not a result of using my application. I would appreciate if you would clarify these specific issues in your review as opposed to merely stating that the app 'doesn't work' in some drawings, which is a misrepresentation based on the information you emailed me directly.     I needed a way to edit the background mask of a multileader and this lisp routine does that perfectly. My only complaint is that it doesn't auto-install to the correct folder for AutoCAD 2015 so I had to find it and manually move it.

    Many thanks for your positive review Liz! This app has now been updated for compatibility with AutoCAD 2015 & 2016, and so the installation issue should now be resolved.
