The application creates the “Rebar Detail” panel in the “Add-Ins” tab, with an icon (“Create Tab”) to start it. When a user clicks on the button, the application checks for Entitlement (whether the user has purchased the app), and creates a new tab named “Rebar Detail” which contains 3 buttons.

The first button “Create Family” is used to generate a detail item family which is used to draw the details. This must be run once per project and takes approximately a minute to complete.

The second button “Draw Detail” is used to draw the rebar detail. It prompts the user to select a rebar bar (shape driven) and prompts for the insertion point (center of the shape), where it inserts the detail item family and assigns parameters to it.

The third button “Update Detail” is used to update the details if changes have been made to rebar bars. It prompts the user to select a rectangular window containing details that need updating.
The First 3 parameters of the Det-Rebar family are meant to be controlled by the user.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Currently, only metric versions are available.

The application has been tested with the standard planar rebar shapes (BS 8666). Custom shapes can be used, but some errors are possible (lack of dimensions, etc.). The application is limited to shapes containing 7 or fewer segments. Non-planar shapes are not supported at this time.
All details will be drawn in black but respecting the line weight of the rebar.
