Instance Locator

First, make sure that the file that you are using has DWG imports. Run the Instance Locator command from the CTI bar.
Select a dwg link from the list or with the "Select file" button. Select a level on which to create the elements. Select on which category of host element the instances will be referenced (walls, ceilings, floors). Select an orientation: Up, Down or floating. Floating will allow you to put hosted elements without needing a host or isolated elements such as a mechanical equipment or a pending lighting fixture. If you choose floating you can choose the fixed elevation based on the floor. If you choose front you can choose the elevation at which the elements will be located on the wall (referenced to the middle of the element according to the family). In horizontal position, for non-radial geometries, you can choose in which axis is the long side of blocks.
Also you can choose the max wall distance tolerance. Then, select a Autodesk® Revit® category from which you can later choose types to use. Note that during the process you can see the most important setting on the bottom bar.

Installation/Uninstallation
The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin. To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8.1/10) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.
Additional Information
The "Floating" option always locate the elements pointing Up.
You should allways import the DWG from model space and with the minimal ammount of information possible, so the application will run lighter.
If elements on walls get misslocated, maybe it´s because of the tolerance, try increasing or decreasing it.
Known Issues
Some blocks could have position issues. For example blocks that are scaled by a different number in different axis. We are working on these cases.
It could present problems using blocks with several blocks inside.
Blocks should not have dots on their name.
