There are several ways of customizing the way NoteBuilder works; it can be set up in a way that the NoteEditor only launches after the user selects the command. However (and more ideal) NoteBuilder can kick in each time a new note is created, or when a note is selected and a hotkey is pressed (LeftAlt key).

When those settings are selected then NoteBuilder will take over the moment a new text is created and then the NoteEditor will launch. It is in this window where most of all key functions of NoteBuilder come together. The user can simply type the note, and hit [Ok]. Then back in the standard Revit environment the user can change text type, alignment ect.

In the NoteEditor there is live spell check and a warning and error window will advise the user on the quality of the note (this is fully customizable). When the NoteEditor is shown the user will also be able to search the drawing for an existing note or import a note from his or his company standard list.

Apart from the NoteEditor the user has direct access to a few tools: change of case of notes, and direct fixing of notes without opening the editor. These tools are directly selectable from the Revit Add-in ribbon.

The installer that ran when you downloaded this app/plug-in from Autodesk App Store will start installing the app/plug-in. OR, simply double-click the downloaded installer to install the app/plugin.

You may need to restart the Autodesk product to activate the app/plug-in.

To uninstall this plug-in, exit the Autodesk product if you are currently running it, simply rerun the installer, and select the "Uninstall" button. OR, click Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features (Windows 7/8/8.1/10) and uninstall as you would any other application from your system.

Included in the download file are a few sample typical notes, and a sample warning and error list, full working and company standards notes will have to be created by the user / company.
