Engipedia Layers Manager FREE
Description
The add-in analyzes all layered structures in an Autodesk® Revit® project, looking for material names and layer widths (thicknesses). Materials layers and widths are written into multiline text type parameter of all six-layered categories (Ceilings, Floors, Site-Pads, Roofs, Structural Foundations, and Walls).
Check-out PRO version for additional parameters and syntax features: https://apps.autodesk.com/RVT/en/Detail/Index?id=3656715018357524873&appLang=en&os=Win64
These parameters can be used to show tags and schedules.
Check-out PRO version if you need customized exports to Excel or CSV: https://apps.autodesk.com/RVT/en/Detail/Index?id=3656715018357524873&appLang=en&os=Win64
Tree structure displays all layered structure types, materials, and widths (thicknesses), showing:
- Red color shows missing materials (<By Category>)
- Core layers are underlined
- Structural materials are bold and blue (or red if the material is missing)
Units can be set: millimeters, centimeters, decimeters, meters, decimal inches, and decimal feet
Fractional imperial units are available only in PRO version: https://apps.autodesk.com/RVT/en/Detail/Index?id=3656715018357524873&appLang=en&os=Win64
The unit format can be set: number of decimals and trailing zeros
This app works with Revit 2016 - 2024.
So far been a pretty useful app. Going to get other users to look at it, then maybe we can go to the Pro version if needed.
Hopefully this gets update for 2025 soon.

I strongly suggest trying this plug-in as it allows wall layers to be directly reported in tags and schedules, allowing consistency accross the whole project. I've had a chance to use it during semester projects and it really made my life easier. Thanks for fast and reliable support from Engipedia.
