Descrição
Enhance your Autodesk® Revit® projects with our plugin, designed to export information into a format compatible with TruScope, allowing for AR rendering of your models. Here's a simple guide to using this plugin:
New Feature: Direct Upload to TruScope Cloud
You can now upload the model directly to the TruScope Cloud straight from Revit. To do so, follow these steps:
- Select the TruScope project. It will be saved in your Revit file.
- Link Revit 3D views with TruScope Layers. Create TruScope Layers if there are none.
- Push one or multiple 3D views directly to the TruScope Cloud.
Using the Plugin
- Initiate Export: The plugin converts the currently open 3D view in Revit into a file format that TruScope can read, turning your selected 3D view into a Model Layer.
- File Naming: You have the flexibility to name the exported file as you wish. The Model Layer will adopt the name of your 3D view in Revit, making it easy to identify.
- Conversion Time: The conversion process is detailed and may take some time. Your patience during this step is appreciated.
- Uploading to TruScope: Once the conversion is complete, you will obtain a .truscope file. This file needs to be uploaded to the TruScope Web Dashboard for further use.
Model Alignment for AR:
To accurately align your model in TruScope at a 1:1 ratio in AR, follow these steps:
- QR Anchors: Incorporate special objects into your model using the "TruScope QR Anchor" family, available for download from the TruScope Dashboard. These QR Anchors must have unique values in the ID within a single 3D view, and ideally, throughout the entire project, to avoid confusion.
- Inclusion in 3D View: Ensure that these QR Anchors are included in at least one 3D view. Anchors not included in the export will not be available for model alignment in AR.
- Avoid Duplicate Anchors: Including the same QR Anchor in multiple exported views can lead to duplicates in the application, potentially confusing users (both will still work though).
- QR Anchor Position: When placed on a vertical surface (e.g. wall) make sure that the 3D text is facing the user. The rotation matters, it's not just a point.
By following these steps, you'll be able to bring your Revit models to life in AR, offering a new dimension to your architectural presentations and analyses.
